Police officers have our backs every day, and it is time we had theirs.

Across Western Australia and the country, officers are under more strain than ever and are being asked to do more with less.

They feel undervalued by those above them and let down by a system that is making their job increasingly difficult to do.

We can and should be doing more to support our blue line, and that’s why we’re fighting to give police real, practical support that makes a difference.

The Liberals are calling on the Albanese Labor Government to cut taxes for police officers by extending FBT concessions, in line with ambulance and other frontline services, so they can take home more of what they earn each week.

This is a simple, practical reform that would boost take-home pay and show police they are genuinely valued for the work they do.
