It is clear the Margaret River Hospital is becoming increasingly unsustainable and outdated. With a growing and aging population in Forrest, it is inevitable that a major upgrade will be required. The community have raised this as an immediate issue for the region.

Living in a regional area shouldn’t mean second-class health care. Yet residents in Margaret River and surrounding communities face long travel times of three to four hours into Perth for services that should be available locally. This is not only costly and time-consuming, it places unnecessary strain on families and patients needing regular care.

I am committed to fighting for a modern, expanded hospital that meets the needs of our region - delivering the essential health services that our community deserves, closer to home.
